Over ten days you’ll face “the most exciting and challenging rapids” on the planet.
Each dawn brings a new set of heart-pounding Class III–V rapids – names like Terminator, Open Season and White Creamy Buttocks become your daily conquests – as inflatable rafts surge and crash through Batoka Gorge.
By evening, you’ll camp on sandy riverbanks under an African sky studded with stars.
Between rapids you paddle serene stretches of emerald water framed by towering cliffs, and at day’s end the only lights are campfires and shooting stars.
This is a fully guided, self-contained river expedition: safety briefings each morning, professional river guides at the helm of each raft, and sturdy camp gear provided.

Evening Before:
- Sunset boat cruise to meet the team and receive a briefing from the trip leader
- Dry bags provided for your gear
Day 1
- 08:00 hrs pick-up from accommodation for Victoria Falls rafting adventure
- Breakfast at Victoria Falls café
- Safety talk and signing of indemnity forms for Zambezi River rafting
- Guided tour of Victoria Falls and the surrounding Zambezi River
- Experience the spray and swim beneath Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River, lunch served
- Raft through 10 rapids, including Appetizer, Morning Glory, Stairway to Heaven, and Gallivors Travels on the Zambezi River
- First night at Songwe Camp by the Zambezi River, with Zambezi rafting cuisine for dinner
Day 2
- Breakfast and packed lunch prepared for the day of white water rafting Victoria Falls
- 08:00hrs start, rafting 18 kilometers along Zambezi River rapids
- Conquer rapids like White Creamy Buttocks, Overland Truck Eater, and Ugly Family on Zambezi whitewater rafting
- Lunch below Rapid 16 (Terminator 2)
- Overnight stay at Camp 25 with dinner served
Day 3
- Breakfast followed by a floating lunch on the Zambezi River
- Navigate rapids like Open Season, Narrows 1 & 2, Chimamba, and Upper Mweemba
- Spend the night at Upper Moemba & Lower Moemba on the Zambezi River with camp set up and dinner
Day 4
- Breakfast and floating lunch on the river
- Early start at 06:30hrs for three portages: Lower Moemba, Dam Site, and Deep Throat
- Last resupply at Dam Site
- Night at Will Camp with camp and dinner served
Day 5
- Breakfast, followed by rafting along the Zambezi River rafting
- Stop for lunch on the sandy beaches of the Batoka Gorge
- Overnight at Hippo Camp, with wildlife views on Zambezi River rafting
Day 6
- Breakfast and floating lunch on the river
- Continue rafting with overnight stay at Coconut Camp
Day 7
- Breakfast, floating lunch, and more rafting along the Zambezi River
- Night at Cattle Camp, with dinner served
Day 8
- Breakfast, floating lunch, and continue paddling along the Zambezi River
- Overnight at Jomela Tiger Fishing Camp, a comfortable lodge with rooms and dinner served
Day 9
- Full day of fishing on the Zambezi River with professional fishermen
- Stay at Jomela Tiger Fishing Camp
Day 10
- Breakfast followed by a 5 km paddle to Bimbi Village (mouth of Lake Kariba)
- Refreshments at take-out point, visit to Bimbi Hot Spring
- Overnight stay in a village may be considered, depending on time
- Final drop-off at your accommodation in Livingstone
