Please read carefully
When you book your trip we commit our guides and equipment to that trip to make sure you’ll have the best possible Zambezi white water rafting trip. Therefore we ask a few things from you:
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
A deposit would be required to reserve the date and activity. We accept a 25% deposit and the entire balance is due when you reach Livingstone, Zambia. You will receive an email confirming your trip together with a downloadable itinerary document.
For agents, at the time you place your tentative reservation, you and our reservation will set an appropriate CONFIRMATION DATE which will give you time to organise your group and collect their payment. This date is normally two weeks in advance of your trip date. On your confirmation date, please communicate with us and notify us how many in your group have confirmed and we will adjust your tentative number to a confirmed number.
A minimum of 24 hours notice of any cancellation is required to avoid cancellation fees being charged. If you cancel with 24+ notice you will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations with less than 24 hours and no-shows will be charged a 25% cancellation charge.
Once you have booked a tour, you can change the date with a 24 hour notice.
GROUP BOOKINGS (10 or more people)
A 48 hr notice is required if the entire group is cancelling to avoid cancellation charges. For Multi day trip we require a 14-day cancellation notice.
Trips cancelled by Maano Adventures for any reason (insufficient numbers, bad weather, unavailability due to high water etc) will be refunded in full if an alternative trip/date is not suitable.
AGE, WEIGHT, HEIGHT
The age limit for Zambia white water rafting is 15 years old. We can, however, take you for the Zambezi white water trip at the discretion of the GUIDE and with parental consent but only if you fit in our Class 5 personal floating jackets. There is no upper age limit.
There are no weight or height restrictions. However, everyone must be able to fit into a class V PFD (life vest). If you’re worried email us.
We do not allow anyone to raft pregnant. If you or someone in your group has health issues please consult a physician. Zambezi white water rafting is a strenuous activity and hiking up and down is an equally daunting task. Please disclose your health history (if you feel, it can affect your rafting) to your guide especially if you have conditions like epilepsy, diabetes, previous heart surgery or any condition that you think may affect you during rafting.
Everyone who rafts down the Zambezi River must sign a liability waiver. If anyone in your group is under the age of 18 the waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian. Click here to see disclaimer
