🐘 Chobe Under Canvas: 3-Day Wilderness Safari

National Park Camping | River Cruises | Big Five Game Drives

   Botswana’s premier wildlife sanctuary

🗓️ Day 1: From River to Rim

  • 09:00 AM | The Border Crossing: Pickup from your accommodation (Kasane or Victoria Falls) and transfer to the Chobe park gates.

  • 10:30 AM | Chobe River Boat Cruise: Start with a water-based safari. This is the best way to see hippos, massive crocodiles, and "swimming elephants" crossing to the Sedudu Island grasses.

  • 01:00 PM | Buffet Lunch: Enjoy a fresh lunch at a riverfront lodge before heading into the bush.

  • 03:00 PM | Afternoon Game Drive: Board an open 4x4 vehicle to track lions and leopards as they begin their evening hunt.

  • 06:00 PM | Camp Arrival: Arrive at your private mobile campsite. Meet your bush chef and camp assistants.

  • 08:00 PM | Dinner Under the Stars: A 3-course meal prepared over an open fire, followed by stories around the "Bush TV" (the campfire).

🗓️ Day 2: The Heart of the Wild

  • 05:30 AM | Wake-up Call: Fresh coffee and rusks by the fire as the sun rises.

  • 06:30 AM | Morning Game Drive: This is the golden hour. We head to the Chobe riverfront to find predators returning from their nightly hunts and see huge herds of buffalo moving to water.

  • 11:00 AM | Brunch & Siesta: Return to camp for a hearty brunch. Spend the heat of the day relaxing in the shade of the leadwood trees—keep your binoculars handy, as wildlife often wanders past the camp.

  • 03:30 PM | Deep Park Exploration: Head further into the park, exploring the teak forests and floodplains in search of the rare Puku antelope and Chobe's famous lion prides.

  • 07:30 PM | Bush Dinner: Another night of authentic campfire cooking and the incredible silence of the Botswana wilderness.

🗓️ Day 3: The Final Track

  • 06:00 AM | Sunrise Safari: One last drive to find any elusive species you haven't checked off your list yet.

  • 09:00 AM | Bush Breakfast: A final cooked breakfast in the middle of the park.

  • 11:00 AM | Departure: A slow game drive back toward the park gate, soaking in the last views of the river.

  • 12:30 PM | Return Transfer: Drop-off at Kasane Airport or transfer back across the border to Victoria Falls.

⛺ What to Expect: The Camping Experience

  • Accommodation: Comfortable walk-in tents with camp beds, linens, and pillows.

  • Facilities: Typically includes "bush loos" (long-drop toilets) and bucket showers with water heated over the fire.
